Eseosa Eghomwanre
Hello everyone! I’m Eseosa Eghomwanre, a technology professional with a deep passion for cybersecurity, networking, and using digital tools to solve real-world problems. I’m someone who believes in continuous learning—I’m always picking up new skills, whether it’s through Cisco certifications or exploring the latest trends in web development. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, meeting new people, and diving into research on topics that fascinate me. I joined this organisation because I genuinely believe that meaningful change happens when people are willing to contribute their skills, time and networks to causes bigger than themselves.
My Career & Professional Journey
I currently work in infrastructure and system engineering, where I handle network administration, cybersecurity, and Microsoft Office 365 administration. My journey in tech started over a decade ago as a computer operator and instructor, and I’ve since built a diverse career that spans web development, IT management in banking, and now public sector technology infrastructure.
Over the years, I’ve gained solid experience in:
Cybersecurity & Network Defense – I’ve completed multiple Cisco Network Academy certifications, including Cyber Threat Management, Network Defense, Endpoint Security, and CCNAv7 modules. I’m passionate about protecting systems and data from threats.
Web Development – I’ve developed websites for organisations like Global Age Media, Storeville, the Institute for Benin Studies, and Prosperity Microfinance Bank, combining technical expertise with creative design.
IT Infrastructure & Support – I’ve managed banking systems, ATMs, mobile banking platforms, and provided end-to-end IT support.
One achievement I’m particularly proud of is my work as Head IT Officer at Prosperity Microfinance Bank, where I was responsible for the bank’s core banking system, database management, and security. It was a role that demanded precision, quick problem-solving, and a strong sense of responsibility—and I loved every challenge it brought.
I bring a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit to this organisation. Whether it’s planning, executing projects, or simply being a reliable team player, I’m ready to contribute in ways that move us forward.
Hobbies & Interests
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me reading, travelling, or meeting new people. I’m naturally curious, so I spend a lot of time researching—whether it’s the latest cybersecurity trends, new web technologies, or just something interesting I stumbled upon. I’m passionate about:
Technology & Innovation – Especially cybersecurity, networking, and web development
Research – I love digging deep into topics and discovering new ideas
Community Development – Finding ways to use my skills to help others
Education – I’ve taught computer science before, and I enjoy sharing knowledge
Something people might be surprised to learn about me? I once served as a Computer Science Teacher during my NYSC year in Katsina State—an experience that was as rewarding as it was eye-opening.
Why Charity & Community Service?
My passion for community service took root during my National Youth Service year in Katsina State. Teaching young students who were eager to learn, despite limited resources, showed me just how powerful education and skill-sharing can be. It wasn’t just about teaching computer science—it was about giving young people tools that could change their futures.
That experience taught me that meaningful change doesn’t always require huge resources; sometimes it just takes one person willing to show up and contribute. I see AMF as a platform to continue that work—to use my skills, time, and network to make a tangible difference in communities that need it most.
My Aspirations
Looking ahead, I want to keep growing professionally in the cybersecurity and tech infrastructure space. I’m particularly interested in deepening my expertise in network defense and cloud technologies. But beyond personal growth, I want to be someone who consistently gives back.
My aspiration for this organisation is to help launch and execute impactful projects—whether it’s in education, digital literacy, or community development. I want to champion causes that empower people with knowledge and skills, especially young people who are just starting out. Ultimately, I hope to leave a legacy of service, innovation, and positive impact.
